Wish You Were Here

…uh, not really. No offense. But there’s where I was, last week

..and here…

…and mental note:DON’T go to Whistler in the summer, it’s full of drooling families that don’t look very outdoorsy. I think they come and cruise the village like it’s a mall. Personally, I’d rather attend a Dave Matthews concert up Mickey Mouse’s bung hole. So we decided to cruise the scenic route on through to Vancouver…
Mental note:DON’T go to Whistler this winter. The construction is unorganized and hasty, not to mention treacherous (we were almost hit head on). And don’t even get me started on the boarder crossing or the total lack of exchange rate. Oh! And the fact that you can’t get the GST refunded at the border–which is a boner considering the hotel taxes. If you go north, camp. And if you don’t camp, make your next trip Portland and Bend. Three words: no sales tax. Two more: no Olympics.

Nice photos.
Your comments make me wonder if that area is just like Pennsylvania - truckers say there are two seasons here, “Winter” and “Construction”.

Wow! Where the heck is that? I want some! We just got back from a ride out 90 and then up through Winthrop and back. The North Cascades give the best bike rides.

The scenery on that loop is phenomenal.
