Los Straitjackets are the Godfathers of Mexican Surf. Whether you’re a jaded, faded punk rock boy, a rock-a-Billy, or a nobody, thy butt will shake with glee, and thine eyes won’t be dissappointed. ((But emos might want to sit this one out, the guitarists just might be playing too many major chords for you.))

Hmmm… if I were going to make a cocktail for this, what would I do? You’ve got the whole luchador goes to a cocktail party thing…

So, you have to have some juice, and a sunny Mexico by the beach angle. I’m thinking tequila and grapefruit. But we’re going to do an up-drink in a cocktail glass. Hell no, make it a double, in a pousse cafe. I’m thinking classic margarita meets Hemingway daiquiri… I got it:

Luchador Suave

2 oz. Herraura tequila
1 oz. Cointreau
2 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
splash of Sloe gin
squeeze of lime

You can steal it if you want, I wipe my ass with drink recipes.
