Farmers Market With The Mostest
Mmmm……..
fresh bread…
croissants…..
cornbread!
pain au levain
and…
Those Mexican egg roll thingies with powdered sugary squares on top that never taste as good as you think…except here!
And pistachio wheels of puff pastry with pistachio cream and plenty o buttah. I just love the smell of something new.
The Columbia City Bakery(soon to be open at 4842 Rainier Ave S.) is just one of the most excellent booths at the Columbia City Farmers Market in Seattle, held every Wednesday from 3 to 7pm just off Edmunds and Rainier Ave South.
If my geometry is correct, Cafe Besalu and Columbia City Bakery are equidistant from my house. Luckily I have enough pastry love for the two of yas.

Two things:
1)Your site is Best in Show. Thanks for making it happen.
2)You know that Pull-apart pork you have illustrated? How long do you let that puppy cook? I’m ashamed to admit my ignorance in matters of crock pottery, as simple as the procedure must be. But I just gotta make that pork.
Clinkies.

Aw, geez, thanks Taj! Right back at ya. (visit the cork and demon from the menu at right, ya’ll —> )
As far as the pork goes…
You let it go until it’s done, grasshopper. This is usually 6 hours. But sometimes it’s 5 and sometimes it’s 7. You can’t hurt it letting it go longer, but you have to wait until it falls apart when you rake it with a fork. I put it in by 10am on low just so I know it’ll make dinner.
