Finally, a "Taste of" festival that involves non-crappy food, one of my favorites in particular, CHEESE. May 14th and 15th at the Pike Place Market you can walk from one end to the stinky, crumbly, oozing other sampling cheeses from around the world. Made better by the fact that you can purchase the cheeses directly from the makers.   
It’s said (I heard it once, and I’m too lazy to find the source) that Washington has an abnormally high per capita cheese consumption as compared to the rest of the country. Which is weird because Washington is one of the top Port markets in the country, too. Coincidence? Who cares! Get your ass to the Pike Place Market in May if you’re at all able.
I already know the highlight of the event for me: someone will be serving goat cheese ice cream. I’ll bring the fresh strawberries.

OK, P.S.   Tried to fact check. Should I be disturbed that while trying to bring up stats on Northwest cheese consumption from Google that many, many pages for the Storm Front Bianco Nationalista party**  kept coming up??? Cuz I am. I mean, what do skinheads have to do with cheese? Why is cheese mentioned so frequently on their websites? Don’t they know most dairy cows are black?
