A little line cookie before bed:

Spike TV interests me not, but Studio Gonzo interests me greatly. They have a new animated series on the aforementioned network, called Afro Samurai that plays loose with samurai anime, throwing in a little steampunk and hip hop and Samuel L. Jackson for good measure. That’s right, Jackson plays Ninja Ninjs. Within my first five minutes of exploring the series I heard his character spout: “Awwwwww, hey-elll no!” I was happy.

The characters are based on the work of Takashi Okazaki, and the look of the series is moody and beautiful. It may be on a frat boy channel, but it is pure Tokyo Boy. If you have/had any feelings at all for Cowboy Bebop or our man Sam, you will love it.
