With all the focus on today’s extreme brewers, we sometimes forget the strong, silent styles…those that have proven the test of time, summer, and the German beer garden. I wanted to title this article: Kleingelbbieren, Großsommerfreude. Which is sooooo nerdy, I ‘m so glad they didn’t let me.

(And yes, I know I’m partly at fault for loving the big boys. I was a clearly a fat Belgian monk in many of my past lives.)
