Lustau Manzanilla Papirusa Sherry

Lustau Papirusa Manzanilla SherryBone dry.
Almost not fruity.
Salty.
Fleeting.
Acidity.

See, I have this theory. The unexamined palette is not worth talking to. (OK, so I ripped that off.) I don’t want to talk about wine like people talk about sports or cars. I don’t want to know what futures you bought or whose mailing list you’re on. Just whatchu want to drink?

If you’re trying to impress me with all the wine jargon you know, stop. Or I’ll shut you up with this. Just to see your face when your overripe, over-priced Cali Cab lovin’ ass tries to reconcile the above adjectives. Then you’ll probably tell me it’s corked. Since you just read about that, too.

But we drinkers know. This is where your palate ends up, if you STOP reading about what you should like and just start eating and drinking. Together.

God, I wish more people would try Sherry. I’m in a mood today–baking cookies, sugar crash. Had some guy try to bait me into a wine argument today at coffee, after peeping at my computer. Rude. And rude. I don’t argue about wine. I have opinions, but I only argue about important stuff.

Have you bought MENU FOR HOPE raffle tickets yet ????
