Bonny Doon’s Juicy Grenache Value

Bonny Doon “Clos de Gilroy” Grenache
California ($13-15)

Raspberriocity. Master Grahm’s word, not mine. That’s what this wine has, in spades. Dark red fruit that smells so sweet and spicy, I get all of these complex little smells as I go back for each sip. This wine is exactly what I mean when I say “easy to drink.”
I can’t ever find any affordable straight Cali Grenache, why’s this so cheap? Location, location, location. The word “California” doesn’t fetch as much as “Napa” doesn’t fetch as much as “Howell Mountain.” You pay for specifics.
Ideal food matches: mushroom & Swiss burger, medium-spicy Indian meat curry, roasted root veggies, katsu

the reign of Spain falls mainly on your brain, it pays to play with Vin de Pays. Here’s a Valcluse for youse: Andre Brunel

Gawd! 3:53pm and you’re wasted!!
I say to youse, before you bed, try a Cote Catalanes instead!
And when you wake, we’ll partake. Perhaps of cake.
And after a spell, a touch of Prunelle, perhaps, before we talk of Brunel!
