What Wine Goes Best With Victory?

So let’s see…what happened today…it was like a dream…a beautiful dream. The sun was shining. You were all there, and so was Paul Lynd. And thousands of people were flogging a bronze elephant with their left shoe and chanting, “No more jello for me mom!” And then we all had ice cream. What do you think it all means?

I have an article about building a better bloody mary in this week’s Seattle Weekly:

Drink Your Vegetables

What wine goes best with victory? Bubbles, good ole American bubbles. My sentimental favorite is the Argyle Brut Rose from Oregon. It could win a cage match with many French rose Champagnes, costs only $30 (less on sale), comes from a true blue state, and is made by a very cool guy that looks like an extra from Easy Rider.

America. Fuck yeah.

Paul Lynd? Paul Lynd? Your dreams are very rich indeed. I cracked a Letitia 2003 Brut de Blanc. Cheers.
