RULE #1: He No Bitch He Who Not Vote

Get out and vote, kids. Especially if you leave on the East side of Lake Washington. Darcy Burner needs you, and she is one of the hottest hopes in the country of winning back the house. So Eastsiders, YOU can make a difference with your one little vote. Other reasons to brave the polling places:

REASON #1: Report any irregularities

REASON #2

REASON #3: There is a wind of change

REASON #4: Can’t let this happen again

If you experience ANY strangeness while voting, call 1-866-OUR-VOTE immediately to report it. Do not leave the polling place. DO not take no for an answer if you are told you can’t vote, demand paper, demand provisional, call the number above if you still get a hard time. Don’t worry about the address on your license, don’t worry about not having a V.R. card. You can still vote.

If you think it’s hopeless, or just about ballot initiatives, then you must be one of the only 22 people to not see Lord Of The Rings. We’re talking full on Mordor, kids. This country is teetering on a knife’s edge. So ask yourself, are you a Hobbit or an Orc?

Me? After I get home from work, it’s the couch, a bottle of Maker’s, and some caramel corn to watch the results pour in. Did you know that AB fucking C isn’t even going to pre-empt Dancing With The Stars to cover the election results? Says a lot about our country. What, I don’t know exactly…

I’ve got notes on some amazing grower champagnes, and hopefully tomorrow’s column will be in the spirit thereof. Also getting a special delivery from Coco la ti da tomorrow–full cheesecake(?) photos coming. Sugar-heads in Seattle should know about Sue McCown’s new place. I used to work with her at the W and miss partaking in her mastery of the holy troika of butter, cream and sugar on a regular basis. Even if my ass does not.
