Yeah!

Taj - It was, in fact, the Il Mimo (more next post)

Paul - You got off tasty and easy, those wines are all much more expensive in Washington. I'm jealous.

Billie - Nice to know you can take the boy away from the forty O.Z.......of domestic. But you can't completely take the forty O.Z. out of the boy. You're so high-class ghetto.

Feemo - Are you my long lost twin? Abbona is one of my favs, and Pavillon Rouge I love, love, love! DId you know next vintage will be screwcap? Sweet.

Milly - Ineadequte? Hardly. Kudos on your research. Yeah, it kinda stings doesn't it? Knowing you blow an entire week's worth of food with one round of cocktails or bottle of wine. As long as you're self aware.

I had a wonderfully mellow T-day, full post later today.

Now I feel inadequate, but put me down for 3 bottles Vietti Arneis (16), and a bottle of Albrecht Cremant (13) for cooking--for me while I cook that is. So I donated a total of $61.

And when you put it the way that you did, I feel very lucky to be able to afford $60 dollars for alcohol for ONE DAY. After browsing the seoncd harvest webiste, I realized that that much money could feed a family for over the month. That made me think, and made that Arneis taste even sweeter. I made sure to savor and be thankful for every drop. Keep up the good work, Maggie! How was your Thanksgiving?

1998 Pavillon Rouge $47
2001 Abbona Faset Barbaresco $31

$78 for me. And now I know one of my local food banks is part of the America's Second Harvest network. Thanks for "guitling" me.

Two bottles of Duvel (big boys size) $16.00
1996 Godme Blanc de Noirs $33.00

That's $49.00 for me. I'll round up to fifty. That Godme was all that and a bag of chips. Thanks for the rec.

OK, it's a little hard to assign some of these values, but here is my best guess:

     1993 Byron Reserve Chardonnay $27.00
2003 Talley Sauvignon Blanc, Arroyo Grande Valley $14.00
2003 Tantara Pinot Noir, Santa Maria Valley $30.00
2000 Brophy Clark Pinot Noir, Santa Maria Valley $16.00
1995 Curtis Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, St Jude Vineyard, 375ml $25.00

I'll be sending $112 to the local Food Bank.
